Outdoor site controls — replaced in the worst of the weather
Corroded outdoor control gear on a processing site stripped out and replaced with new weatherproof Shrop-lec-built panels — in winter, around a live operation.
The job.
The site's outdoor control enclosures had rotted where they stood — live equipment open to the weather, on a processing site that could not stop running while the replacement happened. The swap was planned around the operation and done in whatever the weather did that week.
New weatherproof enclosures, fresh terminations, and an operation that never missed a shift while the changeover happened. The photos from this one show the working conditions honestly — that is rather the point of them.
What we did.
- Survey of the failed outdoor control positions
- New weatherproof control panels, built and labelled in-house
- Staged changeover to keep the site running
- Supplies re-run and re-terminated
- Full test in place — in the rain, as it happens
